Cold water

Wash cold — 30°C / 86°F at most. Cold preserves the mercerised finish and prevents shrinkage; heat dulls the fibre.

Mild & colour-safe

A gentle detergent, no bleach, no fabric softener. Harsh agents break down the finish over time.

Gentle

A delicate cycle reduces stress on the fibres and holds the shape and texture of the garment.

Like with like

Wash similar colours together and turn pieces inside out to protect the outer surface.

Air dry

• Hang on padded or wide hangers
• Keep out of direct sunlight
• Allow good air circulation
• Reshape gently while damp

Tumble, low

• Low heat only
• Remove while slightly damp
• Dryer balls reduce static
• Check often to avoid over-drying

Gentler on the cloth

• Kinder to the fibres than ironing
• Protects the mercerised finish
• Hang and steam for best results
• Ideal for quick touch-ups

Medium heat

• Cotton setting, medium heat
• Iron inside out
• Use steam, press while slightly damp

Hold the shoulder

Use padded or wide hangers to keep the shoulder line. Avoid wire hangers, which leave marks.

Fold with care

Tissue between folds prevents hard creases. Store somewhere cool and dry.

Let it breathe

Clean before storing and use breathable garment bags — never plastic, which traps moisture.

Keep the sheen

Avoid softeners and high heat. A half-cup of white vinegar in the rinse, monthly, restores shine.
